Ten years on, Trophy Eyes' Chemical Miracle gets a proper anniversary celebration, returning as a limited 10 Year Anniversary Edition on two colored LPs.

Released in 2016 on Hopeless Records, the second album from the Newcastle, New South Wales band marked a big leap from the raw pop-punk of their debut, Mend, Move On. Recorded with producer Shane Edwards at Karma Sound Studios in Thailand, it widened their sound with brighter melodies and more space, while John Floreani's lyrics turned heavy personal subjects into songs built to be shouted back.

Chlorine opens the album with shimmering guitars and one of the band's most enduring choruses, and Breathe You In balances heartbreak with a soaring, almost euphoric lift. Heaven Sent and Counting Sheep show the punk energy still burning underneath, all driving drums and Floreani's raw, cracking voice.

It is the record where Trophy Eyes found their own voice, the bridge between their hardcore-flecked beginnings and the bigger, more polished rock of The American Dream that followed, and it still sounds like a band throwing everything they had at the songs.

For fans who have carried these songs around for a decade, this double vinyl edition is a fitting way to mark the milestone and hear them fresh.
