Drake's Scorpion is a double album built like a split personality, one half for the rapper and one for the crooner, gathered here on 2LP vinyl in a gatefold jacket.

Released in 2018, the sprawling set arrived at the peak of Drake's commercial dominance and in the middle of very public drama, with the record addressing the revelation of his young son head-on. Split into a side of hard-edged rap and a side of R&B and pop, it plays like two moods of the same restless mind, with longtime collaborator Noah "40" Shebib steering the overall sound with his signature late-night, underwater warmth.

The hits are impossible to miss. "God's Plan" floats on a hushed, minimal beat that became inescapable, while "Nice for What" flips a Lauryn Hill sample into a joyous New Orleans bounce celebration. "In My Feelings" carries that same bounce energy into summer-anthem territory, and "Nonstop" brings the menace with a skeletal, Memphis-flavored beat from Tay Keith.

On vinyl, the split concept makes even more sense, turning the record into something you live with rather than scroll past. It remains a snapshot of a superstar at full volume, flexing and confessing in equal measure, and it sounds great played loud.
