Ella Langley's debut album hungover is a country record with whiskey on its breath and a wink in its eye, pressed here on red 140 gram vinyl.

Released in 2024 on Sawgod and Columbia, the album introduced the Alabama singer-songwriter as one of Nashville's sharpest new voices. Produced by Will Bundy, it pairs old-school honky-tonk grit with modern punch, and Langley co-wrote every song, filling them with barroom confessions, bad decisions and the kind of self-deprecating humor that makes a heartbreak song go down easier. Her duet with Riley Green turned into a breakout radio smash and put her name on everyone's lips.

The title track "Hungover" opens with a hazy, lovesick swagger, and "I Blame the Bar" points fingers anywhere but at herself. "You Look Like You Love Me", the Riley Green duet, plays like a sly, talk-sung barroom flirtation, all knowing glances and twangy guitar. "Nicotine" leans into slow-burning heartache, and the vinyl closes with "Monologue", a spoken poem written with her mother, Heather, that ends the record on a tender note.

Langley's debut announced a songwriter with real character and a twang-heavy voice that cuts straight through the noise of modern country. Playing it on red vinyl feels like the right kind of morning after.
