Demi Lovato's Unbroken returns on Lava Mix colored vinyl, a fitting finish for the record where she turned real upheaval into some of the strongest pop of her career.

Released in 2011 as her third studio album, Unbroken was shaped partly by the time she stepped away from touring to seek treatment, and it sounds like an artist reclaiming her own story. Lovato described it as more mature than anything she had made before, and the shift shows in its R&B leanings and grown-up subject matter, a clear step on from her teen-pop beginnings.

The first half leans into club-ready pop with serious firepower behind the boards. Timbaland produces several tracks, including All Night Long, which features Missy Elliott alongside him, while Ryan Tedder, Rock Mafia and Dreamlab add their own polish elsewhere. Then the record softens. Skyscraper, produced by Toby Gad, is the centrepiece: a slow-building ballad about standing tall after being knocked down, sung with a rawness that made it one of her signature songs. Give Your Heart a Break brings a lighter, flirtier touch.

The title track and Fix a Heart round out a set that balances swagger with vulnerability.

For fans who grew up with Lovato, this pressing is a vivid reminder of the moment she found her voice as an adult artist.
