Fifty years after it first charmed living rooms and classrooms, Raffi's Singable Songs for the Very Young returns in a 50th anniversary edition on orange eco vinyl.

Released in 1976, his debut began as a labor of love from a struggling Toronto folk singer who drove around the city persuading record stores to stock it. Word of mouth did the rest, and the album became the foundation of a career that made Raffi one of North America's best-known children's musicians. It remains his best-selling release.

The songs are built for joining in. "Down By the Bay" turns silly rhymes into a call-and-response game that kids never seem to tire of, and "Brush Your Teeth" makes a nightly chore feel like a party.
