The Way We Fall is Sister's fifth album, the Stockholm quartet's first return since 2021 and their most explosive statement of the sleaze-punk metal sound they've spent two decades refining.

Formed in 2006 during the New Wave of Swedish Sleaze Metal alongside bands like Crashdiet and Hardcore Superstar, Sister earned their reputation as something closer to GG Allin colliding with Guns N' Roses, punk chaos and glam swagger fused into a sound that never bothered chasing radio approval. Their 2011 debut Hated set the tone, and this fifth record, following 2021's Vengeance Ignited, pushes further into darker, heavier territory without losing the hooks that made them a cult favourite in the first place.

The title track opens the album with exactly the riff-driven urgency the band built their name on. Howling Hell leans hardest into the horror-tinged theatrics that run through Sister's whole aesthetic. Rose Red carries genuine melody beneath the chaos, one of the record's more infectious moments, and When She Dies closes the album on its darkest, most atmospheric note.

Nearly twenty years in, still refusing to play it safe. The Way We Fall sounds exactly as unruly as the band's whole reputation promises.
