Gems Volume 4 [Blue] Vinyl

Roxx Records is excited to bring you a brand-new Limited-Edition series entitled Roxx GEMS. What is Roxx GEMS you ask? Roxx GEMS is a new series that will focus on many special metal and rock releases that may not have otherwise been able to get a vinyl or CD remastered edition.

Items originally released in short run, cassette only demo tapes, or maybe previously unreleased GEMS from bands that have let us in to their archives. It means more great classic rock and metal for your enjoyment, and today we announce Roxx GEMS Volume III! Volume IV will feature two legendary and classic Christian doom metal artists hailing from the early 2000's. Up first on Side A the legendary Knoxville Tennessee based band PLACE OF SKULLS featuring the bands very first 3 track demo released in 2000, which is also when the band officially launched. PLACE OF SKULLS is the side project of Pentagram lead guitarist Victor Griffin.

2025 marks the bands 25th year of existence and also the 25th anniversary of this legendary demo. This recording was originally released in a very limited CDr pressing upon it's initial release in a very limited quantity.

This is the first time these tracks are being represented on vinyl and also on a replicated CD. Legendary doom music fully restored and remastered for your listening pleasure. Volume IV will also feature on side B another classic doom metal release from the band SWEET CICADA.

This doom project only saw one release, but this epic Christian doom metal project needs to be heard. In 2004 the band would emerge with their 3 song demo entitled Switch which was actually never released in ANY physical format. For the first time on CD or vinyl we have SWEET CICADA with 'Switch' and as an added bonus the 2015 recorded track the band did as a part of a short reunion. This one is definitely for fans of classic Black Sabbath and the tracks have been remastered and restored for vinyl and CD A ONE TIME ONLY pressings on limited edition heavy weight JADE BLUE vinyl and CD. The CD versions will also be limited edition pressings housed in a jewel case with 4 panel inserts mirroring the vinyl products.
