Levels is Léa Sen's debut album, structured like a video game with ten numbered stages instead of a tracklist, faded pink vinyl mapping out a genuine coming-of-age.

Raised in a French household with her father's studio next door, Sen taught herself guitar after her parents gave her one at fifteen, then moved to London alone in 2019 following a personal loss, barely speaking English, and rebuilt herself entirely through music. Two EPs and a run of features, including a turn on Joy Orbison's better, put her voice on UK radio before this record arrived, an alternative R&B album that blends woozy trip-hop atmosphere with smudged, warm guitar tone. Framing the whole thing as levels rather than tracks fits an album explicitly built around memory and self-discovery, each stage a distinct emotional checkpoint rather than just a song in sequence.
