Eye of the Storm is Georgia Harmer's sophomore album, gold vinyl, and a record about the strange negotiation between the person you were and the one you're becoming.

Her 2022 debut Stay in Touch was mostly a record of looking inward, tracking growth in real time. This one asks a harder question: once you've done the looking, what do you actually do with what you found. Harmer writes from a lineage of Canadian songwriters and poets, and it shows in how unhurried these songs are willing to be, more interested in sitting with uncertainty than resolving it. Released in 2025, the album frames itself explicitly as a conversation between past and future selves, which sounds like a lot to ask of ten songs and mostly earns it.

The title track sits at the record's centre, calm phrasing over instrumentation that keeps threatening to gather and never quite does, which is the whole point. Little Light is the most tender thing here, Hazel vs. the Coyote is the record's oddest and most vivid image, and Time to Move On closes the album's emotional arc before Memory Lullaby drifts it out entirely.
