Pretty Idea Vinyl
Pretty Idea is Amber Mark leaning into joy, a second album that wraps sleek R&B, house-tinged pop and warm, soulful hooks around songs of romance, desire and self-discovery.
Released in 2025 on Interscope, the follow-up to her 2022 debut Three Dimensions Deep finds the singer, songwriter and producer sounding relaxed, confident and fully in control of her sound. She moves easily between dance-floor shimmer and late-night slow jams, and the album's polished production never smothers its personality.
Sweet Serotonin rides a silky, feel-good groove, Don't Remind Me teams her with Anderson .Paak for a smooth, conversational duet, Different Places, with John the Blind, drifts into something more reflective, and the title track Pretty Idea closes the record with a hint of dreamy glow.
A tight run of songs keeps things concise, each one built around a groove you can sink into and a melody that stays. It is the kind of record that works as a soundtrack for a dinner party, a long drive or a slow Sunday, equally comfortable on the dance floor and the sofa. Fans of the first album will recognise the warmth, and newcomers get an inviting, replay-ready introduction to one of R&B's most distinctive modern voices.
