The Jack Antonoff Touch: 10 Essential Pop Records

Jack Antonoff has had a spectacular 12 months… scrap that, he’s had a spectacular 20 years. If you’re after pop perfection, then look no further than the multi-GRAMMY-winning superstar’s stellar credits on the albums below.

This, after all, is a guy who fronted indie outfit Steel Train in the early 2000s, releasing a number of well-regarded records that, in truth, never really hinted at the kind of career he’s carved out for himself.

His commercial fortunes changed when he co-founded fun. in 2008, with their second album, 2012’s 'Some Nights', producing the hit “We Are Young” (feat. Janelle Monáe), while his ensuing solo project Bleachers has remained an indie-rock staple.

But it’s his production and songwriting for which Antonoff has truly become renowned, collaborating with artists such as Lorde, St. Vincent, Sia, Lana Del Rey and, of course, Taylor Swift, a relationship that stretches back to 2013 when they worked on the song “Sweeter Than Fiction” from the 'One Chance' soundtrack. Fast forward to 2022 and Antonoff has featured on each of Swift’s albums since.
