Rubber Soul is the sound of The Beatles growing up in public, and this limited Special Edition presents the 1965 album in a new stereo mix, half-speed mastered on 180 gram vinyl.

Recorded at speed to meet a Christmas deadline, Rubber Soul marked the moment the band began treating the studio as a workshop rather than a stage. Folk-rock textures, sharper lyrics and a newfound sense of introspection crept into the songwriting, and producer George Martin helped them chase every new idea. For this edition, Giles Martin and Sam Okell have remixed the album from the original four-track master tapes, bringing fresh clarity and separation to every voice and guitar.

"Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)" pairs John Lennon's sly, coded storytelling with George Harrison's sitar, an early sign of the band's widening horizons. "Nowhere Man" floats on chiming guitars and crisp three-part harmony, while "Drive My Car" kicks things off with a cheeky, strutting groove. Best of all is "In My Life", a tender look back that features a baroque-style keyboard solo recorded at half speed and played back faster, one of the most beloved moments in the whole catalog.
