Nearly two decades after imploding, the original Sex Pistols reunited for Filthy Lucre Live, back for its 30th anniversary on red double vinyl with bonus tracks.

Recorded at London's Finsbury Park in the summer of 1996, this was the homecoming show of a reunion tour that put John Lydon, Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock back on stage together for the first time since Matlock's exit in 1977. The set leans heavily on Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols, and the band sound gloriously unrepentant, older and louder but no less sardonic. Lydon sneers and needles the crowd like no time has passed, while Jones and Cook lock into a heavier, tighter groove than the old days ever allowed.

Bodies opens the show at full throttle, Pretty Vacant lands like an old grudge finally aired, and Anarchy in the U.K. still feels like a dare. This edition adds two tracks once found only on the Japanese release: a cover of The Stooges' No Fun and a crowd sing-along take on Bodies.

Thirty years later, the album stands as proof that the Pistols' snarl survived intact, and that a reunion can be both a payday and a genuine riot. On red wax it makes a loud, cheeky souvenir from punk's most improbable comeback.
