RAYE's second album, THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE, moves from winter gloom toward spring light across two yellow vinyl LPs.

Released in 2026, the follow-up to My 21st Century Blues finds the South London singer working entirely on her own terms, building a sprawling 17-track record around the four seasons. Its themes are hope, liberation and the messy business of being human, and the guest list is something else: Hans Zimmer joins her on "Click Clack Symphony", soul legend Al Green appears on "Goodbye Henry", and her grandfather and sisters turn up too.

Musically, it's a big, bold swing. Big band brass, jazz chords, orchestral sweeps and late-night soul sit side by side, with RAYE's voice moving from smoky intimacy to full-throated release. Lead single "Where Is My Husband!" bursts with brassy, comic frustration, while "Nightingale Lane" gives the record one of its emotional anchors. The sequencing follows the emotional weather, starting heavy and slowly letting the sun in.

It's an ambitious, generous record from an artist who fought hard for her creative freedom, and it sounds like it. Spread across two yellow discs, it's an album that rewards listening in order, one season at a time, with plenty to discover on every return visit.
