Marilyn Manson drags Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" into darker water on this 12-inch picture disc single.

The cover arrived in 2025 in the wake of One Assassination Under God - Chapter 1, recorded with longtime collaborator Tyler Bates, who co-produced it with Manson, and with Gil Sharone behind the kit. Rather than reinvent the song, Manson leans into its brooding, slow-burn tension, letting the menace that was always lurking in the original rise to the surface. It's a natural fit for an artist who has spent decades finding the shadows inside other people's hits.

The A-side builds patiently, guitars and atmospherics circling the vocal until that famous drum break finally lands with a thud. On the flip, "As Sick as the Secrets Of (Sleep)" offers a reimagined take on a song from the latest album, pared back into something more nocturnal. Neither track appeared on the album itself, which makes this pairing a genuine curio for completists and a neat standalone listen for everyone else.

As a picture disc, it's as much an object as a record, equally at home on the wall or the turntable. For fans following Manson's recent chapter, it's a striking, moody side road between albums.
