Originally forged in 1980s Belgium, Acid helped lay the groundwork for European speed metal with a raw, unpolished snarl. This 2023 recording, taken from their explosive set at the Keep It True festival, finds frontwoman Kate de Lombaerd reclaiming that legacy with a revitalized lineup and undiminished bite. Backed by High Roller Records, this limited edition of 400 copies arrives pressed on striking red vinyl, housed in a heavyweight 425gsm sleeve with an insert that nods to its cult roots.
The setlist leans into the band’s classic era, tearing through staples like Maniac, Hooked On Metal, and Black Car with a renewed sense of urgency. There’s no gloss here - just breakneck riffs, pounding drums, and Kate’s unmistakable snarl cutting through the mix.
