A serene yet stirring modern classical marvel. Pressed on pristine black vinyl, In A Landscape captures Hunter Noack’s deeply reflective piano journey, drawn from his acclaimed wild-nature concert series.
Featuring nine evocative performances, the record moves from Schumann’s Waldszenen through Ravel’s ethereal Ondine, Fazıl Say’s Kara Toprak, and culminates in John Cage’s spacious title piece—before closing with Schubert’s tender Ständchen featuring China Forbes of Pink Martini and Thomas Lauderdale.
Interwoven throughout are collaborations with Native American flutist James Edmund Greeley and the Salem Orchestra under Christopher Noel’s conduction, blending classical canon with folk and ambient sonic textures.
Released in June 2022 on Heinz Records, this LP reflects Noack’s mission to bring contemplative music into wild spaces—perfect for those seeking intimate, atmospheric, and nature-infused listening experiences.
