New vinyl funk single from the Alan Evans (Soulive, Ae3) alter ego Crushed Velvet and the Velveteers. Alan Evans produces the single and plays on the tracks. 'Shake' features the powerhouse vocals of Melanie Masson, the acclaimed UK singer who has worked with artists such as Stereophonics. It's a bona fide classic, with infectious hooks and deep groove propelled by Evans on the drums. On the flip side is 'Really Can't Get Over You' featuring the vocals of YANIK. This track features Evans and his brother Neal Evans (Soulive), with soaring horns and and an upbeat good vibe feel.
