The Sultans' Shipwrecked makes its vinyl debut, complete with bonus tracks and unreleased material, more than twenty years after it first appeared on CD only.

The Sultans formed in 2000 around John Reis and Tony DiPrima, with Andy Stamets of Rocket From the Crypt and Dean Reis joining at times. Shipwrecked, the band's second album, arrived in 2004 on CD only, a blend of power pop and 1970s punk, and was the last record made at Drag Racist, the studio behind Hot Snakes and Rocket From the Crypt, before it closed for good.

Fourteen songs wrestle with heartache, shame, regret and the struggle to move on, and the titles tell the story. It Meant Nothing, Shut Up and Sit Down and Walk of Shame come armed with crunchy riffs and sing-along hooks, and the pace barely lets up.

This reissue resurrects the masters from their deteriorating analog state with serious attention to detail, resulting in a louder, thicker and more bristling sound. Four bonus tracks join the original running order, including a cover of The Dils' Blow Up and the never released Out of Focus.

Loud, bruised and unashamedly catchy, it is the perfect companion for anyone nursing a broken heart or just a good old grudge. Drop the needle and let it wreck you in the best way.
