Faetooth's Labyrinthine arrives on limited sea blue double vinyl, a fitting colour for a record that invites you to wander deep and lose yourself.

The Los Angeles trio of Ari May on guitars and vocals, Jenna Garcia on bass and vocals, and Rah Kanan on drums follow their 2022 debut Remnants of the Vessel with this 2025 sophomore album, pushing further inward on a sound they call fairy doom, somewhere between shoegaze, doom and grunge. Grief, memory and the quiet work of growing around your own wounds sit at its heart.

True to its name, the album winds like a maze, sometimes heavy and sometimes hushed, but always intentional. Death of Day, White Noise and Hole pair crushing weight with fragile melody, while the eight-minute closer Meet Your Maker confronts the Minotaur at the centre of it all, not a monster but unresolved feelings and memories that refuse to stay buried.

Faetooth are not chasing catharsis here. They are making room to reflect, to feel and perhaps to get a little lost along the way. Fans of doom, shoegaze and heavy music with a tender heart will find a lot to explore, so put it on, turn it up loud and wander right in.
