Aurora is the 24th studio album from Yes, pressed on 180-gram vinyl across two LPs in a gatefold jacket with a booklet.

Released in 2026, it completes what singer Jon Davison has called a trifecta with The Quest and Mirror to the Sky, and once again Steve Howe produces. The line-up of Davison, Howe, Geoff Downes, Billy Sherwood and Jay Schellen carries over from the previous record, a rare bit of stability for a band known for its revolving door, and the cover art comes from Roger Dean and Freyja Dean.

The title track opens with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra swelling behind the band, and Ariadne brings the orchestra back for another sweeping moment. Turnaround Situation, the second single, keeps things compact and melodic, while Countermovement is the centrepiece, a four-part suite running close to 14 minutes that gives Howe and Downes plenty of room to trade ideas and build long, winding passages.

It is a confident, unhurried record from musicians who know their strengths, leaning into harmony, intricate guitar and grand gestures rather than chasing trends. The double vinyl and gatefold sleeve give those long-form pieces the space they deserve, and the Dean artwork looks right at home at full size.
