UFO's The Wild, the Willing and the Innocent returns as a three-LP deluxe edition, pairing a 2026 remaster of the studio album with a full live set from London's Hammersmith Odeon.

First released in 1981, the band's ninth studio album arrived at a moment of change. Keyboard player and guitarist Neil Carter had joined, adding fresh melodic color, and the band produced the record themselves. The result is slick, confident hard rock from a group refusing to stand still after the Michael Schenker years, with Phil Mogg's smoky vocals as commanding as ever.

Chains Chains opens the album with a heavy, strutting riff, while Lonely Heart, one of the record's singles, shows how strong the band's melodic instincts had become, all big hooks and polished muscle.

The second and third discs capture UFO on stage at Hammersmith in 1981, newly mixed by Brian Kehew. The new songs sit comfortably beside the classics, and Doctor Doctor and Rock Bottom remind you why this band was such a formidable live act, with the crowd roaring along at every turn.
