Long before the festival stages, Turnstile's Nonstop Feeling showed a Baltimore hardcore band already bending the rules, and this pressing includes a digital download card.

The band's debut album first landed in 2015 on Reaper Records, and Roadrunner reissued it after signing the group. Producer Brian McTernan captured them in their rawest form: twelve songs in under half an hour, built for packed rooms and stage dives. Yet even here, Brendan Yates and company were sneaking groove, melody and a sense of fun into a scene that often prized pure aggression above everything else.

"Gravity" kicks the door in from the very first second, setting the pace for everything that follows, while "Drop" tears past in well under two minutes. "Blue by You" is over almost before it starts, a quick jolt of adrenaline, and "Bleach Temple" is a brief instrumental breather that hints at the more adventurous textures the band would chase on later records.

Listening now, it is easy to hear the seeds of the band's later breakthrough with Glow On, from the bouncing rhythms to the willingness to color outside the lines.

For fans who arrived with the newer albums, this is the origin story, and for hardcore lifers it remains a high-energy blast from start to finish.
