Train head back to the city that made them on Mad Dog in the Fog, a 2026 album named after a San Francisco bar and packed with warm, sing-along hooks.

It is the band's first album since 2022's AM Gold, and it leans hard into a sense of place. The title nods to a watering hole in the city where Train first came together in the 1990s, and the songs carry the blend of nostalgia and open-road optimism that has powered the band for three decades, with singer Pat Monahan still writing like someone who remembers every bar stool and every late-night drive home.

Singles "The Weekend", "Pennsylvania Turnpike" and the title track paved the way, each one built around the kind of big, warm chorus that sounds best with the windows down and the volume up. Songs like "City of Angels" round out the set, and Monahan's voice remains the main event throughout, elastic, unashamedly heartfelt and as recognizable as ever on the radio.
