Tink returns to the series that made her name with Winter's Diary 5, a 2024 release pressed on clear vinyl with blue splatter and housed in a gatefold jacket.
The Chicago singer, rapper and songwriter first won attention more than a decade ago with the original Winter's Diary mixtapes, and the run has become her signature: confessional, late-night R&B about love, trust and the people who let you down. This fifth chapter arrived after Thanks 4 Nothing in 2023 and finds her sounding sharper and more self-assured than ever.
"Huh" and "Charged Up" set out the album's blend of silky melodies and pointed, rap-sharpened delivery. Guests slot neatly into her world, with NoCap, Skilla Baby and Jeremih all stopping by: Skilla Baby slides onto "Playa," and Jeremih drifts through the smoky "Past Those Interlude."
The production keeps things moody and spacious, with plush keys, slow-rolling drums and plenty of room for her voice to switch from tender to biting in a single verse. It's a record built for headphones and quiet hours, but there's real steel underneath the softness.
