Tina Turner's Break Every Rule arrives as a limited red vinyl pressing on 140 grams, using the 2022 remaster of her confident follow-up to Private Dancer.

Released in 1986, two years after that comeback had turned her into a global superstar, the album faced the toughest possible act to follow. Turner met the challenge head-on, assembling a crack team of writers and producers and leaning into a sleek, radio-ready sound. It reached the top five on both sides of the Atlantic and kept her firmly at the centre of the pop world.

Typical Male opens with a playful, swinging strut, one of several songs here from Terry Britten and Graham Lyle, the songwriting partnership behind her biggest Private Dancer hit. What You Get Is What You See punches harder, a gutsy rock anthem with a stomping backbeat. Girls, co-written by David Bowie, brings a moody, atmospheric change of pace, and Back Where You Started, co-written by Bryan Adams, gives her a gritty, guitar-driven showcase for that unmistakable rasp.
