East Los Angeles soul crew Thee Sinseers follow their debut Sinseerly Yours with Love Stories, a 2026 Colemine release pressed here on green vinyl.
Led by singer and bandleader Joey Quiñones, the group carries the torch for Chicano soul, in the lineage of Sunny and the Sunliners and the golden age of East LA sweet soul. This time they lean even harder into warm analogue textures, with stand-up bass, rich guitar tones run through real amplifiers and arrangements that feel lived-in rather than polished.
The record does not chase a tidy happy ending. Its songs wander through romance, heartbreak, family and unfinished business, each title pointing down a different road of love, whether it is won or lost. Lead single "Did Ya Know?" set the tone ahead of release, and "Let's Fall In Love (Again)" looks tenderly at regret and the hope that something broken can still be mended. "There She Goes" followed as another early taste, while "Oh Love" opens the album with vintage glow.
It all sounds natural and unforced, a band playing together in a room rather than chasing a genre exercise. For lovers of sweet soul and slow dances, this green pressing is a lovely thing to drop the needle on, best played late with the lights low.
