Foreign Tongues arrived in 2026, less than three years after Hackney Diamonds, and topped the charts in 14 countries. For a band deep into its seventh decade, that kind of momentum is remarkable, and the sessions clearly produced more strong songs than a single record could hold. These five are the overflow, and they stand comfortably next to anything that made the final cut.

The standout for many will be Who You Callin' Crazy, which brings in British jazz saxophonist Courtney Pine for a collaboration few would have predicted. Human Tide sits on side two beside Bad Luck Hideaway, a genuine vocal duet between Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.
