Twenty years, twenty new songs: 20/20 is The Infamous Stringdusters marking two decades together with a sprawling double album that looks back and pushes forward at the same time.
The Grammy-winning five-piece of Andy Hall on Dobro, Andy Falco on guitar, Chris Pandolfi on banjo, Jeremy Garrett on fiddle and Travis Book on bass first emerged in 2006 and quickly became one of progressive bluegrass's most adventurous bands. Released in 2026 on Americana Vibes, 20/20 features one brand-new song for every year of their career, and the title doubles as a nod to clear vision.
The playing is as nimble and conversational as ever, blending bluegrass with Americana, indie folk and the open-ended spirit of the jam scene. "Working Man Blues" pairs a traditional structure with present-day urgency, "Up from the Bottom" plays like a personal comeback anthem, and "Light at the End of the Day" leans into hope. The cinematic instrumental "Longclaw" gives the pickers plenty of room to trade ideas and show off their chemistry.
Spread across four sides of vinyl, it is a generous, good-humored celebration from a band still hungry after all this time. Pour something cold, drop the needle on side one and let it play straight through to the end.
