Thalía heads back to the rhythm of her childhood on Todo Suena Mejor En Cumbia, a 2026 album pressed on clear 140-gram vinyl.
Few Mexican pop stars have had a career as long or as varied, from her teenage years in Timbiriche to telenovela fame and decades of solo hits. Here she follows the simple idea in the title, that everything sounds better in cumbia, mixing new songs with fresh takes on well-loved classics and inviting a crowd of friends to the party.
Recent singles "Ojitos Mexicanos" and "Boomerang" set the tone with bright, rolling percussion and an easy, swaying pulse. The biggest surprise is "Dancing Queen," ABBA's disco anthem reborn with a cumbia sway that feels completely natural, while "Cariño Mío" brings a sweet, nostalgic glow.
The guest list reads like a celebration of the genre and of Mexican pop, with Los Ángeles Azules, Grupo Máximo Grado, Yuri, Matisse and Argentine artist Valen all joining in.
