Chicago-born singer-songwriter Stella Lefty steps up with Long Way Home, her debut album, pressed here on green vinyl.

Lefty grew up loving country music, and her breakout hit "Boston" turned that love into a streaming phenomenon that carried her to festival stages and a Lollapalooza debut in her hometown. Rather than rush out a quick follow-up, she built this record around the idea of home: looking back at where you came from while still moving forward. The cover even recreates a photo from her childhood.

Produced by Joe Reeves, the 14 songs mix seven new tracks with seven earlier releases, so "Boston" and "Thinking 'bout You" sit beside fresh material like lead single "Lean In, Kiss Me." The sound is acoustic country-pop with a confessional streak, working through love, heartbreak, nostalgia, insecurity and the quieter work of learning to trust yourself. Much of it was written with her close friend Grace Enger, which helps explain how personal it feels.

It plays like a diary set to acoustic guitar, honest enough to sting in places and warm enough to keep coming back to. For fans who found her through one song and stayed for the rest, this is the record that fills in the whole picture, and a green pressing that looks as fresh as it sounds.
