Skindred's You Got This arrives on purple vinyl, carrying the Newport ragga metal crew's ninth studio album and its upbeat, fist-raised message.
Frontman Benji Webbe and company have spent more than two decades fusing heavy riffs with reggae, dancehall and punk energy, building a reputation as one of Britain's most joyous live acts. Their 2023 album Smile took them to new heights, and this 2026 follow-up went even further, becoming the band's first record to top the UK albums chart.
Produced by Jay Ruston, the album is lean and hard-hitting, built around hooks that seem designed for festival fields. The title track sets the tone with an empowering, arms-in-the-air chorus, while singles "Can I Get A" and "This Is the Sound" pair chunky riffs with Webbe's irrepressible toasting.
Elsewhere, "Born Fe Dis" leans into the sound-system side of the band's identity, and Webbe's voice swings from melodic croon to rapid-fire chant without missing a beat. The guitars stay heavy throughout, but there's always a groove underneath that keeps the whole thing moving.
Positive, loud and impossible to sit still through, You Got This is Skindred doing what they do best, and it sounds every bit as fun on a turntable as it does in a sweaty tent.
