Skillet came out swinging on Victorious, the 2019 album where the long-running Christian rock band leaned all the way into stadium-sized fight songs.
Their tenth studio album finds John Cooper, Korey Cooper, Jen Ledger and Seth Morrison doubling down on the anthemic hard rock that made Comatose and Awake such big sellers. Cooper built the record around songs about persevering through hard times, and production from Kevin Churko and Seth Mosley, among others, gives everything a heavy, polished punch. It topped the US Christian albums chart and cracked the top 20 of the Billboard 200.
Opener "Legendary" is a towering, crowd-ready rallying cry that WWE adopted as a theme for Raw. "Save Me" and "Anchor" bring the emotional weight, balancing crunching guitars with soaring melodies and Cooper's trademark grit, and the title track channels the album's defiant spirit into one big, fist-pumping chorus. The riffs are big, the choruses bigger, and the message never wavers.
