Sierra Ferrell's Live at Third Man Records captures one of roots music's most spellbinding performers in a single, no-safety-net take, pressed on red vinyl.

Recorded direct-to-acetate in the Blue Room at Third Man in Nashville in 2025, the show closed out her tour that year. Direct-to-acetate means the performance was cut straight to disc as it happened, with no overdubs and no fixing anything after the fact. That approach suits Ferrell perfectly. She spent years as a travelling musician before her 2024 album Trail of Flowers won four Grammys and made her one of the most celebrated voices in Americana.

The ten-song set moves easily between moods, drawing on old-time string music, vintage swing and heartbroken country. American Dreaming, which won the Grammy for Best American Roots Song, gets an intimate reading, while Jeremiah and Fox Hunt round out a set that never stands still for long. She closes with In Dreams, letting that fluttering, old-soul voice carry the room right to the final note.
