More than three decades into their story, Shed Seven name their seventh studio album after themselves, and this pressing comes on yellow vinyl.

The York band are riding a remarkable late-career high. In 2024 they topped the UK albums chart twice, first with A Matter Of Time and then with Liquid Gold, an orchestral revisit of their catalog. Rather than coast on that momentum, Rick Witter and company call this their most ambitious collection yet, and a self-titled record this deep into a career reads as a clear statement of intent.

Lead single Stand Together sets the tone as a rallying cry for unity, the kind of big-hearted anthem that has kept their crowds singing for years. Elsewhere the circle widens. Elles Bailey guests on We Got The Love, and Lotte Witter appears on Lost in Space, adding fresh voices to the band's familiar swagger, before Drifting brings the album to a close.

Due in 2027, it arrives framed as the start of a new chapter rather than a lap of honor, from a group who sound energized by their second wind and in no hurry to slow down.
