Born to Touch Your Feelings: Best of Rock Ballads collects the softer side of Scorpions across two LPs on this UK import, from arena-sized love songs to brand new material.

The German hard rock giants have always known their way around a power ballad, and in 2017 they gathered the best of them into a single collection, recording fresh songs for the occasion at their label's request. Classic cuts sit alongside versions recorded later in their career, so the set doubles as a career overview and a new take on familiar favorites, with Klaus Meine's unmistakable voice tying every era together.

Still Loving You and Wind of Change, the band's two most famous slow burners, appear in the versions the band re-recorded in 2011, while Send Me an Angel gets a brand new acoustic arrangement. Melrose Avenue, written by guitarist Matthias Jabs, is one of the new songs written for the album, and Rudolf Schenker contributed another after the birth of his youngest son. Elsewhere, remastered gems from the late 1970s and early 1980s show where the band's gift for tenderness began.

For anyone who has swayed to these songs at a concert or on a late-night drive, this double LP gathers the gentle moments of a hard rock legend in one place.
