Sade's Love Deluxe is pure late-night luxury, a 1992 record that makes slow-burning heartache sound impossibly elegant.
The band's fourth album arrived after a long break following Stronger Than Pride, with Sade Adu, Stuart Matthewman, Paul Denman and Andrew Hale regrouping for four months of sessions. They updated their sound with more modern recording and production touches, yet kept the hallmarks that made them unique: unhurried tempos and Adu's cool, quietly devastating voice. The title came from her idea that love is one of the few luxuries money cannot buy, and the record wears that philosophy beautifully.
Opener "No Ordinary Love" is a masterclass in tension, its brooding bassline and swelling arrangement building toward a quiet storm of longing. "Kiss of Life" floats on a gentle, sun-warmed groove that feels like falling in love in slow motion, while "Cherish the Day" pairs a hypnotic pulse with lyrics of total devotion. Then "Pearls" strips everything back to a near-hymn, a heartbreaking portrait of hardship sung with extraordinary tenderness.

When we receive the item(s) and verify the return of product(s), we will send you a replacement(s) or issue a full refund for the item
