After the acclaimed flamenco-pop of El Mal Querer, the Catalan artist could easily have stayed in her lane. Instead she made her Columbia debut with a jagged, adventurous collage of reggaeton, bachata, experimental pop and electronic noise, working with producers including Noah Goldstein, Pharrell Williams, Tainy, El Guincho and Frank Dukes. Saoko announces the shift instantly, a distorted reggaeton blast with a wild jazz detour. La Fama, her bachata duet with The Weeknd, is cool and sultry, while Hentai turns a tender piano ballad into something wonderfully strange. Bizcochito lasts barely two minutes yet packs in more swagger than most full albums.

Across 16 short tracks, the record swings between bravado and vulnerability, with the title itself split between moto, the hard edge, and mami, the softer side.
