Rick Ross makes his case for permanence on Set In Stone, a lavish 2026 return that lands twenty years after his debut and five after his last solo album.
The Maybach Music boss has always rapped like a man narrating his own legend, and the title says it plainly: this one is about legacy, leaving something behind that outlasts the moment. It arrived while Ross was celebrating two decades since Port of Miami, and that mix of looking back while still stacking wins runs through the whole record.
The production is pure luxury, with J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Mike Dean, Metro Boomin and Cardiak among the names behind the boards. "Mahogany Caskets" pairs Ross with T.I. for a victory lap between two Southern veterans, and "Maybach Music VII" extends his signature series of opulent centrepieces with Don Toliver on board. "Minks in Miami" keeps the spotlight on his hometown, while The-Dream brings silky hooks to "City Lights".
Across nineteen tracks, Ross keeps the cinematic scale he is known for, rich with strings, deep bass and that unhurried, rumbling baritone.
