Originally released in 1984, Rhett Forrester’s Gone With The Wind roars back with this fiery red vinyl reissue from High Roller Records. Limited to just 200 copies, this 2023 edition includes a poster and insert, with audio beautifully restored and remastered by Patrick W. Engel for maximum punch.

This record marked Forrester’s first solo outing after parting ways with Riot post-Born In America. But make no mistake—Gone With The Wind wasn’t just a casual detour. It was a full-blown hard rock statement created under wild and unexpected circumstances in France. Backed by a powerhouse lineup featuring Rods legends Carl Canedy (drums) and Garry Bordonaro (bass), along with guitarist Paul Kayen, this album was born out of spontaneity and swagger.

Highlights include the gritty “The Last Thing I Do,” the searing blues-rock of “Live With Me” (a raw and soulful Rolling Stones cover complete with Rhett’s harmonica), and the razor-edged riffs that run through the entire setlist.
