Everything to Everyone is Reneé Rapp's debut EP, five songs written by someone who'd spent years playing Regina George on Broadway before turning her own voice loose on record, now expanded and pressed on gray marble vinyl.
Rapp had already built a name for herself starring in Mean Girls on Broadway and in The Sex Lives of College Girls when she signed to Interscope and released this EP in 2022, a full year before her proper debut album Snow Angel arrived and made the Top Ten in the UK. It's a smaller, more tentative document than what followed, but the songwriting instincts that would define her later work are already fully formed, direct emotional writing delivered with the kind of vocal power that made her a stage performer in the first place.
In the Kitchen sets the tone with the kind of unguarded, conversational writing that became her signature. Colorado carries real ache without overplaying it, Too Well is the clearest sign of what was coming on Snow Angel, and the title track closes the EP twice, first as an intro and again in an extended version that lets the song's melody properly stretch out.
Before the bigger album, before the arenas, this is where the songwriting actually started. Worth hearing in order.
