Raveena's Where the Butterflies Go in the Rain arrives as a Deluxe Edition double LP on clear vinyl, with extra songs added to the original album.
Her third album, first released in 2024, followed Asha's Awakening and found the Punjabi American singer seeking comfort and rest. The title works as a metaphor: butterflies hide among leaves and flowers until the rain passes so their wings are not crushed. The music matches that idea, folding 1970s-inspired soul, early 2000s pop and the sarod into soft, sunlit R&B about new love, maturity and domestic peace.
"Pluto" was her first new song since Asha's Awakening and opens the album with a gentle glow, while "Junebug" brings in JPEGMAFIA for a surprising guest turn. The deluxe additions include a reimagined "Lose My Focus" featuring UMI alongside the new "Sun Don't Leave Me," which lingers on the wish to hold onto one more sunset before things change. Throughout, her airy voice floats over arrangements that feel nostalgic and freshly made at the same time.
It is a warm, unhurried record, the kind that fits a slow Sunday morning and a second cup of tea. Spread across two clear discs, these dreamy songs have plenty of room to breathe.
