Queen Budapest captures the band at Budapest's Népstadion in 1986, a 3LP anniversary edition marking 40 years since one of the most remarkable nights of the Magic Tour.

That summer Queen were at a towering peak, still riding the afterglow of Live Aid and taking their new album to stadiums across Europe. A rock show of this size behind the Iron Curtain was a genuine event, with a sold-out crowd inside and thousands more listening from beyond the walls. It was also part of the last tour Freddie Mercury would play with the band, which lends every encore a bittersweet glow.

The audio has been newly remixed from the original multitrack tapes. One Vision kicks the doors in, Under Pressure becomes a stadium-wide singalong, and the quieter middle stretch is pure magic, with Mercury leading the crowd through the Hungarian folk song Tavaszi Szél Vizet Áraszt, a gesture greeted like a homecoming.

From there it is hit after hit, with rock and roll covers, a towering Bohemian Rhapsody and a closing run of anthems that leaves 80,000 voices hoarse.

Spread across six sides, this marks the first time the concert has appeared on vinyl, and it plays like a front-row ticket to a show that history has only made bigger.
