Released in 2024, his sixth studio album completed a turn that had been building for a while. Rather than dipping a toe in, he spent weeks writing in Nashville with seasoned session players and songwriters, then invited a who's who of the genre to sing alongside him, from Tim McGraw and Hank Williams Jr. to Chris Stapleton and Lainey Wilson.
The duets are the headline. "I Had Some Help" pairs him with Morgan Wallen for a finger-pointing breakup anthem that became one of the biggest songs of the year, and "Pour Me a Drink" brings in Blake Shelton for a proper honky-tonk singalong. "Have the Heart" finds him trading lines with Dolly Parton, while Luke Combs turns up on the easygoing "Guy for That".
Producers Louis Bell and Charlie Handsome keep the sound warm and live-feeling, with fiddle, steel and acoustic guitars doing the heavy lifting. Post's voice, always more country than people gave it credit for, sits comfortably in the middle of it all, and the guest spots never feel like box-ticking.
It plays like a party where everyone brought their best song. For fans who followed him from Stoney onward, the shift feels surprisingly natural.
