Peter Gabriel follows i/o with its sister album o\i, and this 2LP edition presents the Dark-Side Mix in a gatefold jacket.

When i/o arrived in 2023, it ended a two-decade wait for a new album of Gabriel songs, rolled out one by one with the phases of the moon and offered in contrasting mixes. o\i continues that ritual. Thirteen songs again come in two stereo versions, with Mark "Spike" Stent handling the Bright-Side Mix and Tchad Blake shaping this darker, more textured take, with Mike Elizondo stepping in on "Who Are We Talking To?"

Blake has a reputation for leaning into grit and low end, pushing rhythm and atmosphere to the front. "Been Undone" and "Till Your Mind Is Shining" were among the songs shared on the road to release, and "Face the Wall" arrived in its own Dark-Side Mix ahead of the album. Longtime allies Tony Levin and David Rhodes are part of the band, keeping that familiar Real World pulse in the room.

Gabriel has always treated the album as an invitation to listen closely, and the two-mix concept rewards that habit. Compare it with the Bright-Side edition and spot the differences, or simply let the darker version become the one you live with.
