Peter Gabriel's o\i arrives as a mirror image of i/o, and this gatefold double LP presents the album in its Bright-Side Mix, shaped by mixer Mark 'Spike' Stent.

Like its predecessor, the record was unveiled slowly, with a new song landing on each full moon through 2026, each one heard in two contrasting mixes, one bright and one dark. The material comes from a long, winding road. Songs written in 2024 and 2025 sit beside ideas carried over from the sessions for Us, Up and i/o, and some of the oldest threads reach back more than three decades.

Produced by Gabriel with Mike Elizondo, it opens with Been Undone, the song that launched the whole lunar cycle, and moves through Put the Bucket Down before settling into its longer, more searching pieces. A Hard Lesson, the oldest song here, dates back to the Us era, while the nine-minute One by One revisits Mozo, a character first glimpsed in his late-seventies work.

At thirteen tracks, it's his longest album to date, and spreading it across four sides gives the songs plenty of room to breathe.

Gabriel still treats every record as a long-form project rather than a quick hit, and this one generously rewards the patience it asks for.
