Patsy Cline's 12 Greatest Hits returns on limited pink vinyl, a dozen songs that helped define the Nashville sound and still stop listeners in their tracks.

First gathered as Patsy Cline's Greatest Hits in 1967 and later retitled, this collection became one of the most enduring albums in country music. It draws on her Decca years, recorded in Nashville between 1960 and 1963 with producer Owen Bradley, who wrapped her powerhouse voice in smooth strings and soft backing harmonies. Her career was cut short by a plane crash in 1963, but these recordings have never stopped finding new admirers.

Crazy, written by a young Willie Nelson, is the definitive performance, Cline taking her time with every line until the heartbreak feels almost unbearable. I Fall to Pieces carries her ache with a dignity few singers could match, while Walkin' After Midnight, heard here in its later re-recording, keeps a cool, late-night sway. She's Got You and Sweet Dreams (Of You) show how she could make loss sound almost luxurious.

Twelve songs, no filler, and every one a reminder of why her voice still carries.
