Parekh & Singh's debut album Ocean conjured a lush landscape populated by magical creatures and unrequited love, the follow up Science City ushered in a retro sounding futurescape of doctors and scientists, quantum mechanics and plans to unlock the secrets of the "Universosphere". With the band's third album The Night Is Clear, our sharp-suited star-gazers present an album that is a mirror to all our souls. The songs are personal, sometimes painfully specific. Expanding on their whimsical dream pop and folk inspired electronic serenades, The Night Is Clear introduces us to an additional orchestral soundscape, with lush atmospherics, elements of bossa nova, bright horns and playful flutes, all while still managing to retain their sweet lyrical pop sensibilities.
