P.M. Dawn's The Bliss Album…? returns as a limited clear orange LP, the 1993 follow-up that pushed brothers Attrell and Jarrett Cordes even further into dreamy, soul-soaked hip hop.

Their debut had already shown that rap could float as easily as it could hit, blending gentle rhymes with psychedelic pop and spiritual searching. The second album, full title The Bliss Album…? (Vibrations of Love and Anger and the Ponderance of Life and Existence), went deeper still, self-produced and unashamedly romantic at a time when much of hip hop was heading somewhere harder.

I'd Die Without You is the emotional centre, a lush ballad that first appeared on the Boomerang soundtrack and showed how comfortably Prince Be could sing as well as rhyme. Looking Through Patient Eyes builds its hazy charm around a familiar George Michael melody, while a cover of The Beatles' Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) turns the original into something drifting and devotional. More Than Likely brings in Boy George for a velvet duet.

The album's mix of introspection and melody has aged far better than many of its era's trends, and it sits comfortably beside today's genre-blurring artists.

It arrives in 2026 on a pressing that suits its soft, glowing mood, and it remains one of the most distinctive records of its decade.
