Olivia Rodrigo's GUTS returns as an upcoming limited green vinyl variant dubbed The Sky Is Green, giving her sharp-tongued 2023 album a vivid new colour and a fresh reason to dig it out again.

Following the runaway success of SOUR was never going to be easy, but Rodrigo met the moment by turning up the guitars and the wit. Working again with producer Dan Nigro, she sharpened her pop-punk edges and wrote about the awkward, funny and painful parts of growing up in public with startling candour, rarely taking herself too seriously.

"Vampire" builds from a piano ballad into a seething, theatrical takedown, while "Bad Idea Right?" is a scrappy, deadpan rocker about a terrible decision made anyway. "Get Him Back!" bounces between revenge and longing with a cheerleader chant, and "Ballad Of A Homeschooled Girl" turns social anxiety into a wonderfully chaotic singalong.

Underneath the noise sits real vulnerability, with quieter moments that show just how much range she packs into a single record. The jokes land, but so do the bruises, and that balance is what makes the album stick.
